# Can we reserve or hold spaces?

No — we don't offer reserved or provisional places. A space is only yours once it's booked and paid for.

If you know roughly how many people you'll bring but not yet who they are, you can upload a spreadsheet of **dummy names** and pay for those places in the usual way. Two things to be aware of:

- Dummy names **must** be replaced with real names before the [cut-off deadline](https://help.monopoly-run.co.uk/en/article/what-is-the-cut-off-deadline-1k6k0v/).
- If you don't end up needing all the places, you can delete those players — but [refunds are chargeable](https://help.monopoly-run.co.uk/en/article/removing-a-player-and-getting-a-refund-7c6uyi/).
