How can I change a player's name?

To change a player's name or role, you need to:

Go to the 'Players' page on the booking system
Find the play that needs a name change
Click on the on the 'Edit Player' button (If on a mobile device, you will need to click on the arrow to open up more details on the row)
A slide-out will appear; edit what you need to
Click save

You will only be able to do this if the booking system isn't in lockdown/post cut-off.

This process is also the same if you wish to swap a player who can no longer attend for someone who can, you just need to change the name of the player

Q: What do I need on the day?

Be Prepared for the Day The Run can be a long and active day, so being well prepared is essential. Early March can still be chilly, so make sure to dress appropriately and bring a bottle of water. A packed lunch is optional — most groups prefer to bring some money and grab something to eat while out on the route. You’ll also need a mobile phone with data as the Run operates in real time. Our official app (available on iOS and Android) is your essential companion — you’ll use it to check in, track team stats, complete challenges, and take part in the quiz. Finally, don’t underestimate the importance of comfortable footwear. You’ll be on your feet for much of the day, and while the route is flat, the wrong shoes will quickly make you regret it!

Each team will receive two versions of their Team Pack:

Digital Pack (sent via personalised link)
Paper (Hard Copy)

Digital Pack

On the morning of the Run, we’ll send a text message to each team’s registered phone number. This message includes a personalised link for your team to download your unique Team Pack, which also contains your app login details.

Paper Pack

If you prefer a printed version of your Team Pack, you can collect it from one of our marshals on the day. Each team is entitled to one hard copy only. Group Coordinators will receive a QR code the night before the Run (via email and in the booking system). At the Start Zone, a marshal will scan this QR code to issue your group’s packs. Please note: Packs will only be issued if they haven’t already been collected by your group. You will only be able to collect your packs at your allocated Start Zone — not at another location (e.g. you cannot pick them up at Waterloo if your official Start Zone is elsewhere).

Preview Access

Group coordinators can view a redacted preview of the Team Pack in the booking system. If you’d like to view this preview, please get in touch with your group coordinator.

Backup Access

The night before the Run, group coordinators will also be able to view all their teams’ login codes in the booki

How many in a team?

The maximum team size is 7; this includes any leaders/helpers.

We are strict about this, and any requests for larger teams will receive a polite no. This is due to the safety and enjoyment of all the players in a team. We also suggest a minimum of 3 people in a team.

If your teams have anybody under 14, they must be accompanied by a Leader.

Teams with all members aged 14 and over may go around without a leader - but the final say is down to the group leader.

Explorer units/Senior section - an adult must accompany the group in London. This doesn't mean you have to be with the team(s) all the time, but someone must be on hand (in London) to deal with issues/emergencies.

When is the Run & when do bookings open?

Please note that we have a limit on the number of participants who can participate in the Run. Currently, this is set at 9,000. Spaces do go quickly, so don't wait too long.

The booking system will open for bookings in the evening on the day of the opening, typically at 6:00 p.m. We recommend visiting our Facebook page for full information and details on opening times.

Please note: We strongly advise not booking trains, accommodation or any other travel arrangements until you have secured your place on the Monopoly Run. Spaces are strictly limited (currently capped at 9,000 participants) and fill very quickly, so booking other services ahead of time is done entirely at your own risk. Should the Run sell out or be altered in any way, we cannot guarantee you will be able to secure a replacement spot, nor accept liability for travel, accommodation or other third-party costs you may incur. If you do choose to book other services in advance, please ensure those bookings allow for full refunds or flexible cancel
