How do I register?

In order to register you need to visit our booking system, which can be found here -

The system works by one Leader registering your group to take part in the Run, upon signing up you will be asked to fill in your own details and also your groups. Please only register one group on the system.

The booking system will open for bookings in the evening on the day of the opening. We suggest visiting our Facebook page for full information and details on the opening time.

For those looking for information about a September Run, we did run one in 2024. This was a one-off event, and we will not run any more in September. The March Run will still be continuing.

Question 3

How many in a team?

Accepted Answer

The maximum team size is 7; this includes any leaders/helpers. We are strict about this, and any requests for larger teams will receive a polite no. This is due to the safety and enjoyment of all the players in a team. We also suggest a minimum of 3 people in a team.

If your teams have anybody under 14, they must be accompanied by an adult. However, if the team is solely over 14s, then we are fine with them going around independently, but the final say is with you as the group leader.

Each group registered should have at least one leader in attendance (either in the team or acting as a floating helper if needed). Please don't just send Explorers on their own.

How to I add my Scouts/Guides/Leaders to the system?

We have two different ways in which you can add your Scouts/Guides/Leaders to the system:

Upload via spreadsheet; this template you will need to use is https://monrunpublicbucket.s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/playerSpreadsheetTemplate.xlsx Please note that we don't accept any other format than the one on the link.
Importing via OSM - you create an event in OSM, allow your Scouts/Leaders to signup there and then log in to OSM via our system to import them in.

To add the players, you must go to the Players page in the booking system.

You can upload to the system as often as you like, as long as we haven't hit the 8000 player limit or the cutoff deadline.

What are the 'Start Zones'?

A large number of people now attend the event. In the past, we have asked everybody to come to one location to pack their team packs and then start their day. This meant we asked a lot from the area we marked as our Start Location. We have now moved to a 'hybrid start' to alleviate this issue.

We now have 3 Start Zones:

Waterloo
Hyde Park
Regents Park

As a group, you must select one of those three locations from which all your teams will start (your group coordinator does this). We only have limited spaces at each location (approximately 1/3rd of the total groups registered). When it's your team's time to start their day, they will need to "Check in" via the app at the Start Zone for your group.

We calling it a 'Hybrid Start' because team packs will be distributed digitally to all teams on the morning of the Run. More information about the Team Packs can be found here - https://monopolyrun.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/43000692285-when-do-we-get-the-team-packs-badges-

With these changes, we hope to have a few people in one location at one time. It will also mean that teams will only need to be at their Start Zone for a short time (~10 minutes before their start time).

Who can be in a team?

Well, this is up to you.

We don't require your teams to be formed in a specific way. The only exception is if the team has anyone under 14 years old, then a Leader needs to be there.

The adults in the team do have to be DBSs; however, it's up to you and your organisation's rules whether they are full leaders or just occasional helpers.
