The app says I need to upgrade, but I can't

It means a new version of the app is available — update it from the App Store or Play Store before the day.

If the store doesn't offer you an update, the new version is still with Apple or Google going through their final checks and hasn't appeared publicly yet. Nothing has gone wrong; try again later.

We make changes and releases right up to the day before the Run, and then stop. So as long as you're on the latest version in the store by then, you're fine.
