What are the Start Zones, and how do we pick one?

Start Zones are the places teams begin their day from. Rather than bringing everyone to a single location, we spread the start across several.

📍 There are three Start Zones: Waterloo, Hyde Park and Regents Park.

At Waterloo, marshals are stationed under the clock in the station. Marshals are on hand at every zone from 9:00am.

Your group coordinator picks one zone for the whole group when booking, and all your teams start from it. Everyone in the same game starts from the same zone at the same time, so your choice shapes who your teams play against.

Why is it called a hybrid start?

Because team packs are delivered digitally on the morning of the Run instead of being handed out at a start point. That means teams only need to be at their Start Zone about 10 minutes before their start time, and they check in through the app when they arrive.

What if our zone is full?

We keep the zones balanced as bookings come in, so each ends up with roughly an equal share of the groups taking part. That means a zone can show as full while others still have room — and it can open up again later. Here's how zone availability works.

Can we change our zone?

Yes, at any point up to the cut-off deadline. After that it's fixed, because games and start times are built around it.
